History of The Wedding Bell
The Wedding Bell will be celebrating 80 years of business in Tacoma, Washington! Mrs. Fontana was the original owner of The Wedding Bell and owned it for 47 years before she passed. She kept newspaper clippings and photographs from every single bride during that time. Ask to see the display albums when you visit! They are a unique insight into the history of Tacoma. It is our understanding that Mrs. Fontana even attended the weddings of all her brides and helped them get dressed. We routinely have Wedding Bell brides from 40, 50, even 60 years ago come in with their daughters and grand-daughters. Such a special time.
The Wedding Bell has changed ownership four times since then and is currently owned by Ashley and Jared.
Jared & Ashley
This husband and wife duo work together to provide you with an amazing experience finding the dress of your dreams. Ashley is the face of the business and helps with the brides-to-be and their party, as Jared is behind the scenes helping the business flow smoothly. Being born and raised in Tacoma, Washington herself, Ashley loved the idea of owning The Wedding Bell. With it’s roots in the heart of Tacoma, the special history of the boutique made the two fall in love with it. The pair even got their wedding attire here seven years ago! Both with customer service experience, this fashion forward couple decided to go forth and take a leap of faith and acquired the business in March of 2021.

We would love to meet you and talk about your big day! An appointment is strongly recommended to ensure that one of our consultants is available to help you. Walk-ins are welcome but are very limited, especially on the weekends. You can always give us a call for availability as well. See you soon!
